The
origins of Reflexology date back at least 5,000 years
when the Chinese were known to have practised a form of
pressure therapy and from which accupuncture emerged as
the stronger growth from the same root. Similar therapy
was also carried out in India and Japan.
The
earliest pictorial evidence of reflexology was found in
Egypt around 2330 BCE in the tomb of Ankmaher, the highest
official after the king, at Saggard and is known as the
physicians tomb.
